Project 365 - Catch up and more

So I realized something last night at work... I was at Register 22 and some guy was arguing with me about the price of tomatoes. He'd mixed the $1.00 a pound tomatoes with the more expensive ones and I divided them to charge correctly. He went into a rant about how they were $1.00 so I just charged him the buck a pound, but as I turned my head so that I could roll my eyes, it hit me.

I have become the Wal-Mart employee I always hated!

It's not just that though. It's the short answers I give customers, but seriously, how many times a day do people need to ask me if I work there?? Seriously. I have the name badge, can you not read it? And it's the lack of patience I have as I enter my 3nd month of employment. When I started, I was all smiles and full of patience, but now... Well, I'll end that rant because I don't want to make customers feel bad! ;)

Catching up on P365 -- apparently, I'm having a Lane week. That boy has been on my mind all day every day lately. He got into some trouble and I'm questioning my parenting skills and everything. It's so hard having a teenager!

And Lane is the back of the truck, wearing his hat how he knows I hate it!

That's all for me for now -- got lots of stuff to do today!

Im sorry Nikki...I have two teens and one pre-teen and it is so hard. They really do have so much more to get them into trouble then we do and the world is so much harder to grow up in. The good news is that they do start to grow out of it. Its just a really tough road getting there LOL (oh and walmart hired my daughter for seasonal work but with the chance for permanent so they say. Nope...they laid her off the day after Black Friday. Sucks...I heard alot of the same complaints from my daughter though. People would argue over the stupidest stuff with her. Customer serivce is a difficult job!!)

oh goodness, what I have to look forward too... although, I'm snickering because I remember fake sleeping as a kid... huge hugs about the job... customer service is such a hard job with no praise.

you know, I understand, I really do. I worked at Wal-Mart for 2 years, I was an assistant manager when it was all said and done with, but I started as a cashier and I remember those days all too well! Don't worry, I'm sure you're doing a good job :P

Mine is one of those 'tweens' *lol* ...I'm sorry about the complainers at Wally World and you have 1st hand to deal with. I hope it will get better and to think I applied and thankfully won't be hiring anytime soon cuz they're laying off folks here or I'd be one of them..not for being seniority on the list of candidates, but prolly for telling those complaining customers where to go! *ROFL*

So the pretending-to-be-sleeping picture totally reminds me of something Kylie has just started doing. She HATES to eat & whenever we ask her if she is ready to eat she grabs her blankie, runs to the couch, & says "NO! Sleeping!" :) So apparently she's just getting an early start on what we have to look forward to in her teenage years. :)

Good luck with your job...I imagine it can be very challenging at times! :)
